DIY distortion pedaal

Aan mensen met interesse voor elektronica:
Weet er iemand hoe je zelf een distortion pedaal in elkaar knutselt?
Ik bedoel hiermee letterlijk 'from scratch', beginnende van wat transistoren of eventueel wat CMOS chips. Ik heb zelf al wel wat uitgeprobeerd, maar dit wierp tot nu toe geen vruchten af...

Google eens op Build Your Own Clone. Zijn complete kitjes om zelf in elkaar te solderen (inclusief behuizing e.d.). Ze worden bijvoorbeeld verkocht in de webshop van De Gier:

They're all active if they're electric basses.The only difference is where the first stage of active electronics is, a few inches away in a cavity of the body or at the end of a 20 foot cable in what's called either the preamp or the amp. -Rick Turner-
