Boem patat, al eventjes uit op cd en vinyl.

Opgenomen in Black Out studio te Brussel.
De bedoeling was om iets te maken dat ENORM heavy en uitgesponnen klonk.

Bas werd ingespeeld door een ampeg SVT head, mesa boogie 2x12 BAS cabinet en met 2 verschillende musicman stingray bassen.
2 lijnen: clean en met distortion.

Klein weetje, ook voor de gitaren werd de bascabinet gebruikt

Is een super plaat geworden!!! Zwaar fan.

Niet dat het iemand wat interesseert

After playing Dunk!Fest the first time in 2015 we felt like doing a more post-rock orientated song, little bit apart from the lengthy tracks we usually do. The same time we got approached by an English label willing to release a (split) 7 inch. This was the ideal opportunity to present “Laniakea”.

The Laniakea Supercluster (Laniakea, Hawaiian for “open skies” or “immense heaven”) is the galaxy supercluster that is home to the Milky Way and approximately 100,000 other nearby galaxies. [source: Wikipedia]

After finishing the song, Jo Quail agreed on laying down some cello lines to thicken the ambience. The result has turned out to what you can see here. Unfortunately the label willing to release it, stopped its activities and in the end there was no option to release this (as a 7 inch).

However, we feel “Laniakea” is simply too strong to let it fade away into oblivion. So in stead of keeping it hidden for public, we decided to share it through You Tube and official download for free.

En toch is HMBSM er nog steeds erg duidelijk in terug te horen, minder 'lomp' en mijn broekspijpen gaan er niet van wapperen maar je hoort heel duidelijk dat dit HMBSM is. Hoe jullie een ander genre neerzetten met dezelfde vibe en atmosfeer, dat vind ik vet!

Werd er ook weer even aan herinnerd dat ik A Ring of Blue Light nog niet had, dus verwacht daar ieder moment een order voor!
