hey mensen,
groetjes!

His main bass is a BEAD-tuned Fender Jazz, maple Precision neck, and Leo Quan Badass bridge. Pickups not sure what brand where rewound by hand to give him "more sustain and feedback"
He uses 3 Cabs and 3 heads
one amp and cabinet for a clean sound
one for a middle-of-the-road overdrive
and one for full-on distortion
The clean sound always stays on, allowing him to kick on the other 2 with a custom pedal board switching system.
Tim used three SVT-2PRO heads, one powering an SVT 8x10 for his clean sound and the others powering Ampeg 4x10s for the dirty tones. However I think he now uses a Mesa M-Pulse 600 for his clean sound and a Ashdown ABM 500RC EVO for his distorted sound
Pedal Board:
Before the switcher splits Tim’s bass signal into three paths, it goes through a Boss delay pedal, so that all three parts of the signal are affected when he kicks in delay. While his clean sound remains stompbox-free, post-switcher distortion and wah pedals feed his two other amps. (each amp has a wah going on it, he has them attached together and has a piece of wood ontop so he can use both at the same time).
**Edit** -- His wah pedals are both dunlop 105q's great wah I have one its nice.
custom-made distortion box, based on a pedal he crafted himself from parts of an old wah pedal.
Tim feeds his midrange sound with an Ernie Ball Jimi Hendrix distortion pedal and his dirtiest sound with the homemade distortion box.
He recorded the first Audioslave album with the same three-Ampeg setup
